A Long's Proposal Story: Kayla & Dan

We noticed Kayla had posted a few pictures on social media with her new engagement ring from Long's, and we couldn't help but reach out and ask for her proposal story! We are very excited to share her response. And, we just can't stop looking at her beautiful ring.

Here's the story as told by Kayla:

"Dan and I started dating in October 2010, and met at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. While at school, Dan and I used to take weekend drives to different trails and beaches throughout the North Shore.

One of our favorite hidden gems was Coolidge Reservation in Manchester MA. The reservation has several hiking trails which lead to an amazing view on the "Ocean Lawn" which displays views of Massachusetts Bay and the North Shore.

As we are both now out of college, we hadn't been there in quite some time. While on vacation last week, we decided to take a short trip back to Manchester. Little did we know, the Ocean Lawn was closed from Tuesday-Thursday. Of course this was a bummer (more so for Dan as he knew what was coming!!) but we decided to keep going up to the Ocean Lawn and figured if we saw someone we could either turn around or ask if its okay if we just got a quick look since we traveled far to visit.

We didn't see anyone along the way and decided to sit down on the ocean cliffs for a few minutes while I took pictures of the amazing view! When I looked up, Dan was there one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course we would not normally condone ignoring the signs, but in Dan's eyes he figured a picture perfect proposal would be a decent excuse! :)"
