When you first see the Manufacture Slimline Moonphase, you probably don't picture yourself wearing it on your next fishing trip. Don't let the sleek appearance of this watch fool you though. This Swiss timepiece is also packed with every feature you will need to reel in that trophy fish this summer.

So what it is exactly that makes this watch an outdoor watch? Well first of all, the case and strap are made out of stainless steel, which is a rust proof material. Stainless steel may not be as light weight as a canvas strap, but washing blood and other fish filth off of stainless steel is much easier.

The timepiece is also water-resistant to 3 ATM, which is equivalent to 30 meters or 100 feet. Unless you plan on putting on a dive suit and going spear fishing, this is more than enough resistance for any water that you will come in contact with while fishing. Making the timepiece more water resistant would require thicker and heavier materials, so this watch is right on the sweet spot when it comes to the lever of water-resistance you want while fishing.

The most important feature that makes this the ideal fishing watch is the in-house FC-705 Automatic movement. This complex chronograph movement guarantees that your watch will never run out of power when you need it most, and also provides a moonphase dial. If you are a serious angler, you know that the moon has an effect on the tides as well as the behavior of certain fish. Keeping track of where the moon is in its lunar cycle will help you stay on top of the changes that come with it.

Camping & Other Night Activities : Night Vision by Victorinox

If you didn't know what you were looking at, the Night Vision appears to be just like any other watch. That's exactly what Victorinox wanted when they designed it, because they knew when the lights turned off this watch would shine. The Night Vision gets it's name from the three built-in LED lights which make it perfect for going camping, sitting by a bonfire or doing any other night time activities.

These three lights include one red LED locator / end of life indicator, a blue LED for dial illumination, and a white LED flashlight. The red light is constantly blinking to make sure you can find your watch in the dark and know when the battery is running low. The blue and white lights on the other hand can be turned on using a button on the left side of the watch case. Press it once to activate the blue light and illuminate your watch face, twice to turn on the flashlight, and three times to put the flashlight on a strobe setting.

Extreme Sports, Boating, Aviation: Emergency II by Breitling

If you are a fan of extreme sports, aviation, going on boats or any other activity that could leave you stranded in an emergency situation, the Emergency II will make sure that you can always be found. Breitling realized that in many emergency situations, having a location beacon could be the difference between life and death. The only problem is that in an emergency, there's no guarantee that you will have a location beacon within your reach. So they set out to solve this problem by designing a beacon you can wear, and the Breitling Emergency was born.

The Emergency II is the company's second take on the Emergency design, and this time around they really got it right. Along with functioning as an analog and digital watch, the timepiece is equipped with a PLB Category 2 beacon micro-transmitter. Once activated, this transmitter will send out both an analog and a digital signal which will pinpoint your location and alerts rescue teams of your whereabouts.

To ensure that you are always prepared for the worst, the emergency beacon runs on its own rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which has a lifetime of 24 hours after activation. When you purchase the Escape II you will also be given a docking station which charges the battery and tests that the beacon is still functioning properly. The Breitling Emergency II watch will be available in the US in the upcoming months!
